When you visit our office, you will receive guaranteed dental care from a practice with more than three decades of experience. We strongly believe healthy gums, teeth, and mouths lead to a healthy body. We therefore strive to treat dentistry as an important part of our patients’ general health. Each dental or hygiene visit, a comprehensive medical history and blood pressure screening is recorded and updated.

Our office is fully handicap accessible and we work very hard to take proper care of our immune compromised, elderly home care, convalescent care and special needs patients. If necessary, we use oral conscious sedation on fearful patients. All of our efforts are directed to treating your oral health care as a part of your general health.

Our practice has been a member of OSAP (Dentistry’s Organization for Safety Asepsis and Prevention) since its inception in 1984. We attend their attend annual symposium to help our office be more informed and prepared for emerging infection control and safety issues. We strive to stay ahead of issues in safety and infection control.

We teach members of our dental healthcare team that “all patients are infectious and to dress to the occasion of spatter and splatter.” That means our team wears personal protective equipment as indicated by the procedure and that with all patients, the precautions for disease prevention are taken.

Our Traditional Dental Services

Crowns and Bridges

Crown and bridge treatment helps you maintain your best dental health by restoring lost teeth, and supporting your remaining teeth. Crowns and bridges helps restore your smile, prevents unnatural stress on other teeth, discourages further dental decay and periodontal disease, helps maintain the shape of your face and smile, and keeps your other teeth in their proper place.

Root Canals

If you don’t treat a cavity right away, it can reach the tooth pulp and cause infection. That’s when a root canal becomes necessary, as the infection won’t heal itself. Symptoms of an infection include hot and cold food sensitivity, a bad taste in your mouth, or painful swelling. When a root canal is performed, the dentist cleans out the infection and inserts a material to prevent more infections and aid in the healing process. The dentist may have to use a crown or a post and a crown for full repair of the tooth after root canal therapy.

Full and Partial Dentures

Choose from full dentures or partial dentures, depending on your needs. Both types are individually made to fit your mouth to replace missing teeth. Dentures have numerous benefits, including smile improvement, the prevention of facial sagging, and aiding in the ability to eat and speak. Your dentures are created in just a few short visits as we work together to create a set that fits your mouth like a glove.

Implant Restorations

When you have a missing tooth or multiple teeth, dental implants are the permanent way for you to replace missing teeth with materials that look and feel like your natural teeth. Implants are metal posts or frames surgically placed into bone beneath your gums that then fuse with the jawbone, providing stable support for a crown or denture. Dr Ju works with various implant specialists and then restores these implants.

Crown Lengthening

If your tooth has ever been broken or is decaying near the gumline, a crown lengthening procedure could help fix that. This procedure saves and restores a tooth that may be lost, it allows the gums to reattach properly properly to the tooth, and creates an area that's easy to clean where the crown meets the tooth.

Simple extractions, surgical extractions including wisdom teeth

If you have a tooth that is damaged or decayed beyond repair, a tooth extraction may be necessary. Poorly positioned or crowded teeth might also be cause for removal. Thanks to anesthesia and sedatives, tooth extractions are much less painful today than ever before. In most cases, you will experience little to no discomfort and only minor bleeding. Our caring dental health care team will make every effort to ensure you feel safe and at ease during the procedure. Following the extraction, we provide care that will help to reduce swelling and promote optimal healing. We will also explore tooth replacement options to preserve your smile and dental health.

Our Cosmetic Dentistry Services

Veneers

Porcelain veneers can be used to make your natural teeth appear whiter, correct chips or defects and close gaps. All veneers are custom-made to the desired shape and shade. You can preserve your natural teeth and maintain oral health, yet repair damaged and cracked teeth without full crown treatment. Porcelain veneers also cover permanently stained teeth for a more youthful look.

Tooth Whitening

If you are looking to brighten and whiten your smile, we can help you. Teeth tend to stain and “yellow” over time due to a variety of causes. There are a range of whitening techniques that vary from whitening toothpastes, at-home whitening strips, custom trays and gels, to in-office high intensity lamps with high-concentration gels. Before treatment, we will carefully examine your mouth and determine the best whitening treatment for your specific needs.

Esthetic Crown Lengthening

Sometimes called a gum lift, esthetic crown lengthening is a safe and predictable procedure that helps reshape the bone and gum tissue. It's usually performed on an uneven gumline or teeth that are too short. Esthetic crown lengthening can make a dramatic improvement in the look of your teeth and help you have the smile you have always wanted!

Tooth-Colored Fillings (Composites)

Natural-colored fillings are not only an attractive replacement for unsightly silver fillings, they are a favored restoration technique with many dentists and patients today. Natural-colored fillings are stronger and metal-free, and are made to match the natural color of your teeth. They are a long-lasting, functional and attractive alternative to traditional silver fillings.

Bonding

Bonding is a simple and cost effective cosmetic procedure, ideal for small cosmetic changes of front teeth. We can restore your smile by using an enamel-like material on the tooth front surface in a single visit.

Dental Hygiene Services

We also offer routine cleanings, oral hygiene instruction, fluoride treatments, sealants, nutritional counseling and oral cancer screenings. We also perform subgingival scaling and root planing and antimicrobial therapy for periodontal disease. Learn more about our more hygiene services here.

Scaling and Root Planing

Some patients develop more severe periodontal disease that must be treated with a special cleaning called scaling and root planing (deep cleaning). Plaque and tartar are carefully removed down to the bottom of each periodontal pocket. The tooth's root surface is “smoothed” to allow the gum tissue to heal and reattach to the tooth. This deep cleaning may require several visits and numbing is generally required.

Antimicrobial Therapy

Using the powdered antibiotic known as Arestin (Minocycline) in conjunction with scaling and root planing, we are able to treat periodontal infections. Arestin kills the harmful bacteria in root pockets that lead to infections.

Sealants

A clear or white plastic material usually applied to the chewing surface of the back teeth; a sealant acts as a barrier that protects teeth from bacterial plaque that causes cavities. Sealants prevent cavities from forming by depriving decay causing bacteria of the food they need to survive. Sealing a tooth is painless and does not require numbing. Sealants generally last a few years.
